Hillary Lets the Cat Out of the Bag

If my dog looked like you, I'd shave it's...Democrats are so exuberant at their imminent control of Congress that moments after voting this morning, New York Senator Hillary Clinton let loose with a rare candid statement. Emerging from her polling place, Clinton was asked how she voted. She quickly replied that she “voted for change – except for me! (cackle-cackle).

With that one short statement, Clinton spoke volumes about her elitist attitudes that are also shared with her cohorts of the extreme left such as Howard Dean, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and George Soros, to name but a few. Clinton and fellow travellers view themselves as the rule makers for the teeming masses, who lack the intelligence and wisdom to navigate life without help.

Far from the democratic ideal, the condescending leftist elite are striving to create an American ruling class that is exempt from the rules they would impose on the rest of us. May God help us all.

Islamic Thinkers Society: The First Amendment is a “Loophole”

Over the weekend, Fox News aired a special featuring excerpts from “Obsession,” a documentary all about the threat of radical Islam.

A couple of observations: First, five years after the full frontal assault of 9/11, so many Americans are finally becoming shocked at the violent rhetoric coming from the Muslim world and alarmed at the belligerent threats from Muslim groups within the United States and the United Kingdom. It’s obvious that our annointed media has chosen to hide or ignore the information that is a regular part of the TV diet in Muslim countries.

It’s no secret that the mainstream media has long claimed editorial license in order to manipulate public opinion, but to avoid reportage of readily available information that threatens such dire consequences for America borders on criminal. CNN has no qualms about showing Isalmic propaganda of U.S. servicemen being blown to bits, but will not air the pronouncements of the Muslim leaders behind these attacks.

Islamic Thinkers using their brains

And secondly, there is a fairly large contingent of Americans, including groups like the ACLU, whose interpretation of the First Amendment right of free speech goes way beyond what is in the best interests of U.S. citizens. The original intent of the free speech clause was to guarantee Americans the right to criticize our government without fear of reprisal. In other words, it was designed to protect Americans from tyranical government. It was certainly not meant to allow one group to threaten the safety and well being of another group. Yet that is exactly the condition that some so-called free speech advocates have created.

The Islamic Thinkers Society, a New York based group we have written about on a number of occasions, regularly and loudly threatens the destruction of the United States and has even produced Shahawar Matin Siraj, the terrorist suspect who was arrested for planning to blow up New York’s Penn Station. The documentary “Obsession” shows segments of a video made by the Islamic Thinkers depicting one of their many “protests” in the streets of New York.

In the video, a man is announcing that the Thinkers disassociate themselves from the United States and that they in fact, have been sent by Allah to dominate the United States while they lay an American flag out in the street and proceed to step on it. An Islamic Thinkers member explains that they are able to freely announce their plans for America’s destruction because of a “loophole of the government” known to most of us as the First Amendment.

Offensive speech is one thing and no serious person questions the need to protect offensive speech. But when any group openly threatens Americans, as the Islamic Thinkers did following 9/11 when a spokesman said, “Next time, it will be all of New York,” and then taunts us that we can’t touch them because of a “loophole,” it’s time to close the loophole.

Is Donald Trump Setting Himself Up For Political Office With His Trump-Size American Flags?

UPDATE:

American flag at Mar-a-Lago Flamboyant billionaire Donald Trump recently installed an 80′ flagpole at Mar-a-Lago, his Palm Beach property, and hoisted a huge 15′ x 25′ American flag that has Palm Beach officials in a dither. The problem with Trump’s flagpole is that according to local building code, it exceeds the allowable height by 38′.

One town official, Lee Hanley, was lamenting his perception that Trump’s big American flag is more an eyesore befitting the common folk on the mainland than a landmark for the wealthy island when he commented that it looks like “we have an Okeechobee car dealer.” No doubt, Hanley is expressing the consensus opinion of the town council and a good percentage of residents as well.

But Hanley should be careful about speaking too loudly. As I pointed out in my 10/5 post, “Donald Trump Raises American Flag, Takes Down Town Council,” Trump has been through this very same fight before and has not only chosen this battle, but has purposely instigated it. Why? My guess, keeping in mind that Donald Trump has nearly mastered the art of self-promotion, is that he is framing himself as a true American patriot in anticipation of future political office.

In any case, Trump is in the process of creating popular support with statements directed at a national audience: “You don’t need a permit to put up the American flag. The day you need a permit to put up the American flag, that will be a sad day for this country.” What elected official is going to take a public stand against that sentiment? Only those who are already deeply entrenched in the hate-America camp.

And as far as the local issue is concerned, he has drawn a line in the sand and is now warning Palm Beach officials to cross it at their peril saying, “Anyone who objects should not, in my opinion, hold a public office of any kind — at least not in this country.” Regardless of whether they force him to take it down or allow the flag to stay, Trump has already won, and the longer they keep the debate going the bigger the win.

Seymour Hersh: From the Same Mold as John Kerry?

Senator Rick Santorum who unfortunately faces an uphill battle in his bid for another term, neatly framed the dilemma we face as a nation on a TV news program this morning. To paraphrase, he pointed out that the far left contingent of the Democrat Party refuses to acknowledge, much less act upon the threat we face from radical Islam.

That’s why the words of John Kerry besmirching the U.S. military are humorous to the leftist fringe, but highly offensive to practically everyone else. The left’s unassailable faith in the doctrine of moral equivalence coupled with arrogance and disdain for those who do not agree with them provides the foundation to view President Bush and the U.S. military as the aggressors on the world stage.

Seymour Hersh, who writes for the The New Yorker magazine and who has devoted his career to demonizing the U.S. military, told an audience at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, that “There has never been an American army as violent and murderous as the one in Iraq.”  But while the left is currently cheering Hersh’s remarks, it should be noted that Hersh has a long history of distorting the truth to support his own delusional beliefs. The Seymour Hersh who told McGill students that although “there are 816 days left in the reign of King George II of America, when we wake up tomorrow morning, there will be one less day” is the same Seymour Hersh who once dismissed JFK as “the most corrupt President in American history.”

Hersh is a master at portraying American leaders and the military as monstrous while excusing barbarous attacks on Americans as justified, but he is not alone in his efforts to undermine America.

John Kerry: A Fool’s Fool

That spineless boot-licker and houseboy for Teresa Heinze, John Kerry, has killed any hope he may have had of another run at the Presidency while at the same time, providing more proof that leftists are humorless.

Kerry admonished his audience two nights ago in his usual condescending tone, that if they completed their education, they would “do well” – if not, they would “get stuck in Iraq.” When all hell broke loose, Kerry claimed it was only a “botched joke” and that he left out the line, “Just ask President Bush.” Of course, Kerry is lying, because dragging Bush into it makes no sense. After all, Bush graduated Yale with better grades than Kerry and he succedded at getting elected President twice while Kerry failed the first time and just failed again this week.

Perhaps Kerry’s advisers ought to tell him that the first rule in joke-telling is that the joke must be funny. You know – like the time the Kerry entourage entered a Wendy’s for a photo-op on the campaign trail. Kerry sauntered up to the counter and asked a surprised employee what the soup du jour was. Now that’s funny!

And speaking of funny, thanks to the Drudge Report for posting this truly funny photo from our soldiers in Iraq.
